An Italian legacy, ready for the next chapter.
Born on Lake Garda in the 1980s, PERFORMANCE BOATS built a reputation for loud, fast, unapologetic machines. Over time, that spirit faded. Two new owners, successful entrepreneurs outside the marine world, saw the potential to change the brand’s fate…but knew the existing direction has significantly more potential.
Speed, agility, bite.
Everything about PERFORMANCE is, by nature, performative. Our response was a clear design archetype: speed as gravity. A radical future vision where form, function, and emotion all orbit this one idea. The 120X became a design tribute to velocity itself: bold, aggressive, and honest to its purpose.
Radical exterior…
The exterior design is defined by a relatively simple but powerful hull. A tall side wall and stretched proportions communicate speed even at rest. Air intakes are trimmed in carbon fibre, serving as a design signature. A carbon wing outlet offers a deliberate peek into the engine bay…another moment of performance on display.
Unique to the industry.
A low, V-split windscreen allows direct passage to the bow for sunbathing, creating both usability and a singular visual identity. Bold rather than baroque. Aggressive rather than discreet. Completely unmistakable.
What happens outside continues inside.
This is a day cruiser. Not a floating storage space for your towels. A visible carbon frame structure reinforces performance and maintains a lightweight, industrial feel. Everything needed for an exceptional day on the water is there (essentials like a fridge and ice maker) without compromising clarity or intent.
The graphic language completes the intent.
A large, proud logo claims the surface. Purple – unconventional in the category – brings distinction and a subtle nod to the brand’s 1980s roots. Driver and passenger seats are highlighted in orange. The logo is elegant in profile and bold from above, ensuring recognition from every angle, whether docked or cutting across open water.
New direction, clearly defined.
The 120X marks a decisive shift for the industry. A move away from generic day cruisers and overcharged American clichés, towards something fundamentally Italian.
Set to launch publicly in January 2026 and available from 2027, the 120X serves as a statement of intent — and the starting point for the next generation of PERFORMANCE BOATS.
