In 2018, KISKA became Volta Charging’s strategic partner. At that time, it was a promising Bay Area start-up with a novel USP: EV charging powered by ads. It meant brands could reach people in a fresh way, drivers got free charging, and site owners benefitted from the traffic. The concept caught on quickly, and today Volta’s network is helping fuel America’s shift to electric.
For us, it was a dream brief: future tech, a disruptive business model, and a brand in need of definition.

The new generation of chargers tells that story best: slim, almost like an airfoil in form, with materials that nod to both architecture and automotive design. The huge 140-centimetre display has become a signature, while lighting animations show you exactly what’s happening with your car from a distance. It’s confident, unique, and unmistakably Volta.
iF Design Award
Combining dynamic forms and signature details like lighting into an intuitive user experience, Volta’s e-mobility solution was awarded an iF Design Award in 2020. The world’s oldest independent design seal.
Red Dot Design Award
The Red Dot Design Award jury of creative experts individually tested more than 6,500 product entries in 2020. Including the Volta next-gen charging station, which was also recognised as an award-winner.
